一、结构式：（rcoo）2mg（r为硬脂酸中的混合烷基）
二、理化性质：本品系由c16和c18为主的饱和脂肪酸镁盐，白色细软轻质粉末。无毒、无臭、无味，不可燃。微溶于水，溶于热的乙醇中，遇强酸分解为硬脂酸及相应的镁盐。

四、主要用途：本品作为聚氯乙烯的稳定剂兼润滑剂，与钙皂和锌皂配合用于无毒制品。还用制药工业作为药片的脱膜剂。在化妆品中作为乳化剂，以及食品添加剂。也用做干粉灭火剂等
五、包装贮存：用内衬塑料袋，外套纸塑复合袋或塑料编织袋包装，20 kg/袋。注意防潮，严禁用钩。按“一般化学品规定” 贮运。
